Recent Bull Pen performance over a short time frame :
Low ERA is evidence of Good Bull Pen performance.
High ERA does Not necessarily mean bad performance,
because the bull pen could have had a few very bad games
that skew the numbers.  Adjust for games in Colorado.

Low ERA of Bull Pen over Last 7/14 days = Good Performance
and is Predictive of future short term good performance.

Hockey Analogy:  Runs = Goals

Hits + Walks = Base Runners = Shots on Goal in Hockey

When looking at Box Scores,
look a the total of Hits + Walks + HBP


2014  MLB league stats for the whole season:
average Runs per game = 4.1
average Hits per game = 8.6
average Walks (BB+IBB+HBP) per game = 3.4
average Hits+Walks per game = 12

Hits + Walks = the number of BaseRunners
                          men who get on base by Hits and Walks

Hits + Walks = like Shots of Goal in  Hockey
is an intermediate secondary Stat that is correlated with Scoring

Notice how  2 Hits = 1 Run
